City Mini GT2 is a full-sized travel system with an all-terrain wheel, all-wheel suspension, quick compact one-hand fold, and lightweight design that offers a comfortable strolling experience for your baby.  

Although the brand claims it has ‘’uncompromising agility on any terrain,’’. It may not par with the top-of-the-line full-sized stroller like Bugaboo Fox 3, but as a mid-ranger, this stroller glides well on city terrains, is comfortable for your baby, and best choice for day-to-day use. But before concluding, let’s check out my in-depth review.

Baby Jogger City Mini GT2: Size & Weight 

Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 weighs 21.6 lbs which are similar to the previous GT version. The unfolded dimensions of the stroller are 41.3 x25.6x 43.1, which is relatively more compact than many other strollers. Moreover, it even meets the Disney size requirements of the stroller, so you can easily stroll with your baby in the land of Disney.  

Design & Color  

The most notice-worthy update City Mini GT2 receives is the seat fabric. The updated version is nicely padded and made up of a softer and smoother jersey-like fabric. The fabric feels very comfortable and softer for the baby’s skin.

The City Mini GT2 is available in 6 different colors, which gives the stroller more sophisticated look than the original City Mini GT. They are:

Safety 

Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 has a safety harness (5-point), and the padded harness can be adjusted based on the baby’s comfort. The harness is the same re-thread as the previous version, which is more difficult to use than the no re-thread harness.

Foldability   

 During the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 review, I found it folds easily, and one hand fold mechanism does a decent job. While folding, stroller seats are left exposed, so they can easily get dirty too easily.  

How to Fold Baby Jogger City Mini GT2  

Before folding the stroller, tap on the brakes. Then, locate the fold strap in the middle of the seat and pull the fold strap. Keep pulling the strap until the frame begins to collapse. For a more compact fold, you can remove the wheels of the stroller.  

How to unfold Baby Jogger City Mini Gt2  

Unfolding the stroller is easier than folding it. At first, you will need to lift the stroller frame up slightly and then push down on the lever near the rear wheel until the stroller is fully open and locked into place. 

Seat 

A wide and comfortable seat allows toddlers to look through the world while strolling. The Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 seat is 24.5 inches wide, heavy-padded, and comfortable. On top of that, the seat can be reclined to an almost flat position for your toddler to relax.

Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 handlebar is long (43 inches) and height adjustable. The handlebar has a better grip, making it the best stroller for tall parents. Parents, regardless of height, will find this stroller easy to grip and push on surfaces.

Wheel & suspension  

Baby Jogger City Mini Gt2 boasts all-wheel suspensions, and it worked well on different city terrains when I took it on demo. The 8.5-inch foam-filled tires will get your baby through grass, sand, or gravel easily. The front wheels can be locked for better maneuverability on uneven terrains.

Storage  

City Mini GT2 has ample storage capacity. Its under-seat storage basket can hold up to 10 lbs. To carry baby essentials such as diapers, sippy cups, toys, etc. The storage basket is easily accessible from both front and back. Moreover, it also has a storage pocket of 2 lb, so you can keep your necessary items like your phone, wallet, and keys.

Canopy 

Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 stroller comes with a large adjustable UPF 50+ canopy that provides excellent sun protection to your baby. There are two magnetic peek-a-boo windows on top of the canopy, which allows you to keep an eye on the baby while strolling.

Cleaning and Maintenance  

Cleaning City Mini GT2 is easy; all the fabrics, including the canopy fabrics, seat, and mattress fabrics, are removable and machine washable. so, before you place the fabrics for washing, remove the foams inside. You can wipe the foam with a damp cloth if needed.
