The B Ready G3 and City Select 2 strollers are also compatible with car seats from reputed brands such as Britax, Nuna, Chicco, and Maxi Cosi with the help of a car seat adapter. Note that the car seats and adapters do not come with the box.

Bassinet stroller:

The strollers are bassinet-compatible too! By attaching a bassinet, your newborn is good to go in Britax B Ready G3 and City Select 2. So, you have more options with bassinet and double seating configurations available with these strollers. The bassinets do not come with the box; if you need one, the option is to purchase it separately!

Newborn stroller:

Both stroller seats are not built to carry newborns, but by attaching an infant car seat or bassinet, your loved little one can enjoy a ride outside in these strollers. So, we can say the B Ready G3 and City Select 2 are both newborn-ready strollers.

Seat recline and adjustable footrest:

Both the stroller seats are reclinable into multiple positions. From sitting upright to almost lying flat position, and can be adjusted according to your baby’s preference. In full recline mode, your baby can enjoy short naps on the go.

The footrest in both the B Ready G3 and the City Select has an adjustable footrest, offering comfort for your baby. They adjust to your baby’s comfort, nothing more you can expect.

5-Point harness:

Both strollers boast a 5-point harness for safety purposes. The harnesses are pretty standard; they are safe and offer comfort. There is nothing here to complain about.

Reversible stroller seat:

The Britax B Ready G3 and City Select 2 stroller seats are reversible and can be adjusted to face the parent or the world. The City Select 2 Second Seat is reversible when converted to a double stroller, whereas the B Ready G3 Second Seat is not reversible.

Both the strollers have a mechanism for quick and easy folding. The City Select 2 folds up more quickly than the B Ready G3 in just a single step, whereas the B Ready G3 requires two steps to fold. Both of them require two hands to fold.

However, the B Ready G3 can be folded into a self-standing position, taking less space to store. This feature is missing in City Select Stroller.

Both strollers’ handlebars are height adjustable for the convenience of short or tall parents. The handlebars for the City Select 2 and B Ready G3 are ergonomic and comfortable.

Wheels:

The City Select 2 boasts all-terrain wheels (back wheels are larger) and offers bump-free rides over all terrains. Whereas the B Ready G3 may not have all-terrain, they are decent performers on city terrains.

The front wheels swivel and are lockable for better maneuvering and superior ride experience on busy streets. The suspension system found on both the strollers is helpful too.

The basket underneath both the stroller is significantly spacious. The City Select 2 basket can carry up to 15 lbs. of goodies! That means no on-the-go items are left behind when you decide to go out. The basket has got an update from its predecessors. It’s more accessible – from the front and behind. Britax B Ready basket is spacious and highly accessible too.

Canopy:

The Larger the canopy, the better! The B Ready G3 and City Select 2 canopy is large and covers essential parts of your baby’s body to offer maximum protection. The City Select 2 canopy has UPF50 protection and superior sun protection than the B Ready G3.

In terms of color, there are 4 main color options –Blue, Dark Blue, Ocean Blue, and Grey. The B Ready G3 has about 5 color options – Green, Black, Grey, Navy Blue, and Ash. Britax B Ready vs City Select – Verdict

Britax B Ready G3 is an affordable option as a convertible double stroller. It has a lot of perks and plenty of features to impress. It is best for those looking for a convertible double stroller at a reasonable price but doesn’t want to miss out on features a genuine convertible stroller offers. But unfortunately, Britax decided to discontinue this stroller. This stroller’s significant drawback is the low par canopy and vast and bulky size.

However, City Select 2 got an update from its predecessor, the original City Select, readily launched in July 2021 and is relatively new. It comes with additional 4 color options for canopy and offers a bump-free ride with its all-terrain wheel and the all-wheel suspension system. It got a foot brake as a handy upgrade. The only major issue is the price tag; it’s pretty high. For some, the carrying capacity will not be sufficient, especially for those who have older toddlers to carry.

Both strollers fall into different price categories. So, there is nothing much to compare between the two. On top of that, the B Ready G3 is no longer on the market. So, City Select is the choice. Still, there are B Ready G3 used models that are still available. If you need an affordable convertible double stroller, B Ready G3 is a decent buy too.
