By Jennifer Ward

UPPAbaby VISTA V2 and Nuna Demi Grow are both convertible strollers that have some similarities, like the price, configurations, and compatibility with infant car seats. But both these strollers also have notable differences in weight limits, seat arrangement, and so on. So, in this post, I will go in-depth: about Nuna Demi Grow vs UPPAbaby Vista V2 so you can pick your call without a doubt.

Nuna Demi Grow

The Demi Grow stroller is one of Nuna’s first strollers of its kind that accommodates a second seat for siblings or twins. Since its launch, the Demi Grow stroller has gone through several upgrades; like the upgrade in 2021, the stroller got an added magnetic buckle which makes it easier to help the child come in and out. In 2022, Nuna added a new feature which is a built-in mosquito net with the included protection canopy and spare canopy.

Nuna Demi Grow vs UPPAbaby VISTA: Comparison In Details

Weight and Dimensions

Nuna Demi Grow vs UPPAbaby Vista

In double stroller mode, Nuna Demi Grow can accommodate children up to 50 pounds in both upper and lower positions, making it have a higher weight capacity than VISTA V2.

Now, the reason for that is even though the upper position seat of VISTA V2 holds around 50 pounds of weight but the lower position can hold only 35 pounds.

So, the rumble seat of Vista V2 is a big drawback as your younger baby needs to sit in the rumble seat.

Weight capacity

  • Demi Grow: 50 pounds per seat
  • VISTA V2: 50 pounds for upper Toddler Seat; 35 pounds for lower RumbleSeat

The Price of Nuna Demi Grow is $150 less than the UPPAbaby VISTA V2. However, the Demi Grow doesn’t come with the bassinet included like the VISTA. But if you add the bassinet with the Demi Grow, the price will automatically increase by $100 more than VISTA.

Nuna Demi Grow

  • Stroller: $949.95
  • Bassinet: $249.95
  • Total price with bassinet: $1199.90

UPPAbaby VISTA V2

  • Stroller and bassinet: $1099.99

As a double stroller, the upper and lower seats of Demi Grow are identical, so when a new baby is born, they do not need to purchase a 2nd seat. The upper seat can be relocated to the lower seat.

But for the UPPAbaby VISTA V2, parents need to purchase the lower rumble seat if they had used only the upper seat because the size of the two strollers seat are not the same, and they are not interchangeable.

The UPPAbaby VISTA V2 stroller is compatible with the UPPAbaby MESA series infant car seats, and they do not require any adapters. The seat fabric of Nuna Demi Grow can be snapped open, revealing a mesh back that allows airflow. Even though the seat fabric of Vista V2 is also removable, it doesn’t have any mesh back.

Both Nuna Demi Grow and Vista V2 come with an extendable canopy for sun protection. The extra layer remains zipped in both strollers. There’s no difference even in protection, as both offers UPF 50+ protection. For ventilation, Demi Grow comes with a mesh peek–a–boo window, and Vista V2 comes with two mesh windows.

However, Demi Grow comes with two interchangeable and removable canopies, classic and airborne, that can be customized according to babies’ comfort.

While talking about basket storage capacity, this is where Vista V2 wins in flying colors. The storage capacity of the Nuna Demi Grow is only 10 pounds; on the other hand, the Vista V2 can hold around 30 pounds of goodies, including your grocery shopping.

When Nuna Demi Grow is converted into a double stroller, most of its storage space is lost, but that’s not the case for Vista V2.

The folding of UPPAbaby VISTA V2 and Nuna Demi Grow is kind of similar. They both offer automatic locks and self-standing folds, making them easier to store. In addition, both strollers can be folded with the main seat attached and the 2nd seat removed.

For safety, both Nuna Demi Grow and UPPAbaby VISTA V2 come with a five-point harness and no thread technology. But the Demi Grow harness system comes with magnetic buckles, which reinforce baby security.
